The famous National Geographic Photo Competition set off this year for the fourth time! Thanks to PLAY this year’s edition has been improved by introducing new categories – devised especially for the fans of photography using less professional equipment, i.e. the mobile phones, trying to capture unforgettable moments in the everyday life.

You don’t need any sophisticated professional equipment to win. All you need is your mobile phone with a built-in camera (which is almost a standard function in every modern phone) and a bit of creativity. The co-organizer of the competition, apart from National Geographic, is PLAY mobile operator – hence, the new contest categories are available for the PLAY users only.
One2tribe company is responsible for creating and managing the gallery and access management via SMS or MMS. We also prepared the layout and Playfoto website.
Each contestant can send up to five photos taken with the phone camera. The pictures can be uploaded via website or MMS in one of the two categories entitled: capture the moment or postcard from a journey. You can browse the pictures on the website as well as on your mobile phone via WAP at wap.playfoto.pl.

The prizes in the special categories are ultramodern mobile phones.
The multimedia phones equipped with cameras will be granted every two weeks to authors of the top-rated pictures (in one category) and to authors of the best comments (also in both categories).
In the finals of the Playfoto contest the jury will select the best pictures.
