The Witcher: Versus is a web-based multiplayer game based on “The Witcher”, a game that is breaking records of popularity. The essence of the game is to battle with witchers, sorcerers and frighteners to win gold and fame.
The Witcher: Versus is a next generation web-based game where gamers play duels with other users of “The Witcher”. Each gamer can choose among the character of a remorseless, unrepentant witcher, a powerful sorcerer or a trainer of an atrocious frightener. The players can make online duels or invite other users to a duel per email. The game’s engine is based on tribeware platform and Flash technology. To record battles the game uses motion capture animation.
The game is simple: all you need to do is challenge your opponent to a duel, set an attack-and-defence sequence and wait for the response. Despite its simplicity, more complex tactics are also possible: there is more than 200 various skills and more than 666 unique items available which you can use to defeat your enemies. Of course, nothing for free – first you need to get orens (gold) and experience points to obtain new armory.
